They all hit the ball long now relative to the courses they play. So yeah, you may have have a 7 iron vs a 9 iron into the green but for the most part it's short irons. Scoring is driven by iron play. If you can hit your irons with accuracy you can make birdies. DJ has greatly improved his short game and IMO that is where he is getting his advantage.
